Madness

Madness is a British ska band formed in 1976 in Camden Town, London, known for their catchy tunes, energetic performances, and distinctive blend of ska, pop, and rock music. The group originally consisted of seven members: Suggs (lead vocals), Mike Barson (keyboards, vocals), Chris Foreman (guitar, vocals), Mark Bedford (bass), Lee Thompson (saxophone, vocals), Daniel Woodgate (drums), and Woody (percussion).

The band gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits like "Our House," "Baggy Trousers," and "It Must Be Love," which showcased their unique sound characterized by upbeat rhythms, brass instrumentation, and whimsical lyrics. Their debut album, One Step Beyond... (1979), was critically acclaimed and solidified their status as pioneers of the ska revival movement in the UK.
