Backstreet Boys

Backstreet Boys is an American boy band formed in 1993 in Orlando, Florida. The group consists of AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. Known for their harmonious vocals, catchy pop tunes, and polished choreography, Backstreet Boys rose to fame in the late 1990s and became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1996, achieved significant success internationally, with hits like "We've Got It Goin' On" and "Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)." Their second album, "Backstreet's Back" (1997), and the US debut album, also titled "Backstreet Boys" (1997), solidified their popularity with singles such as "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" and "As Long as You Love Me."

The band reached the height of their fame with their third studio album, "Millennium" (1999), which included iconic tracks like "I Want It That Way," "Larger than Life," and "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely." The album broke sales records and established Backstreet Boys as a global pop phenomenon. Their next album, "Black & Blue" (2000), continued their success with hits like "Shape of My Heart."

After a brief hiatus, the group returned with "Never Gone" (2005), showcasing a more mature sound. Despite changes in the music industry and evolving trends, Backstreet Boys continued to release new music and tour. Kevin Richardson temporarily left the band in 2006 but re-joined in 2012.

In 2013, they released "In a World Like This," celebrating their 20th anniversary. The album featured the same members and received positive reviews. Their residency in Las Vegas, "Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life" (2017-2019), was a commercial success, demonstrating their enduring appeal.

Their ninth studio album, "DNA" (2019), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, proving their lasting relevance in the music industry. Known for their enduring popularity, the Backstreet Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists in history.
